Hoa is one of the founder and the first president of CASA with the vision to provide professionals with the opportunity to perform community service for the Chinese community. Since its inception, CASA has grown to over 100 members, performing 1000+ hours of service.

Hoa is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Administration at University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management. After Hoa graduated from University of California, Berkeley with his name on the Dean's Honor List for four consecutive years, he began his career at Arthur Andersen as Business Consultant for four years. Hoa also served as the Treasurer and the Board of Advisors for Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team for three years.
